The newly devised show includes The Slavos, a springboard troupe, brimming with talent and raw energy, catapulting across the ring unbelievably balanced only on a single stilt. Members of the troupe are performing unique tricks only seen in this act, including five backward somersaults from the springboard.

Evgeny Eskin's Sky Travellers' act features flying trapeze suspended in mid-air.
Acts by Andrey Mikheev, Natasha Egorova and The Bugrova Sisters show off a dizzy display of aerial gymnastics and breathtaking balancing action which defy gravity and the laws of physics.

Award-winning clowns,Foma and Yeryoma, who have perfected the art of slapstick and cunning caper. Russia's strongest man, Bakhrom Akhnazarov, pushes and pulls with Herculean strength and panache as he lifts a multitude of unbelievably heavy Ketleballls before unbelievably having a 2.5 tonne vehicle driven over his body.
Plus the death defying high wire act of Goussein Khamdoulaev on the highest indoor high wire in the world.

Traditional circuses are a rarity in many parts of the world today, but the Moscow State Circus is one troupe keeping the art form vividly alive.

‘You’d have to see it to believe it, not to be big topped’. Liverpool Echo

‘Genuinely eye popping’ The Evening Standard

‘Thrilling’ The Times

The enviable reputation of Russian Circus is based on 200 years of tradition but in particular 70 years of massive support under the communist regime.

It all began when Catherine the Great had invited Manchester born trick rider and impresario Charles Hughes to set up a riding school in St Petersburg.
Circus quickly spread throughout the country and indeed the world with various families setting up Circus schools passing on theirs skills from one generation to the next.
