A small, independent, friendly music festival with a twist. Celebrating the very best of Scotland's independent/DIY arts scene alongside amazing international guests. Doune the Rabbit Hole festival near stirling, is an intimate, independent music and arts festival located amidst the glorious ancient oak trees of the Cardross Estate, near Lake of Menteith, in Stirlingshire. A music festival with a twist. Since it began, the festival has grown into one of the best events taking place in the Stirling area.

Taking place in Central Scotland on the weekend of 18th to 20th August 2017. Doune The Rabbit Hole Festival is a small scale event that started at a site in Newton, near Doune in 2010. After moving to Duncarron Fort in 2012, the festival has moved to it's present home at the beautiful Cardross Estate, near Port of Menteith in Stirlingshire.

Over 100 acts will descend on the Cardross Estate over the weekend. Just like other festivals you can camp out under the stars and what could be better than waking up to enjoy the beautiful setting of the Cardross estate before enjoying a fantastic weekend of entertainment.

You're unlikely to find any chart-topping acts although the festival does attract some big names. You will find local, original and interesting music waiting to be discovered. Acts are booked because they create a great atmosphere and the stages are curated in the same way, with a penchant for the unconventional, the nutty and the plain weird. The same goes for the site decorations too. Expect to go on a voyage of discovery when you come through the gates.

Doune The Rabbit Hole is a unique festival. Much smaller than a festival like T in the Park where 80,000 people will cram into their site. With a capacity for around 1000 people, this means you'll meet people that you will see again throughout the weekend and make some lasting friends. This also means that if you lose something you're more likely to get it back and you'll generally feel safer and more at home.

The organisers encourage you to bring youngsters along. Under 12s get free entry and there's loads for them to do in the kids area with workshops and more. There's a wonderful family camping zone too. Importantly too, the crowd that come along are very friendly folks so you can rest in the knowledge that your kids will be safe as houses. Doune The Rabbit Hole has been named in various publications as among the best of the family-friendly festivals in the UK.

To experience a new, wonderful and very different kind of a festival, book your tickets now.
