The red, open top, double decker buses on the City Sightseeing Stirling Tour are not operating this year. A good alternative would be to see if Claymore Travel are running one of their Historic Stirling Tours when you are in Stirling.
Historic Stirling and The Roman Wall Listen to the fascinating story of Stirling in the company of a local guide as we walk through the cobbled streets of the old medieval town with its ancient buildings and famous Royal Castle. Stirling was the key to the Kingdom, to hold Stirling was to control Scotland and inevitably the great struggle for independence took place here with the Battles of Stirling Bridge in 1297 and Bannockburn in 1314. We visit these Historic Battlefields, the Castle, the Wallace Monument and the Church of the Holyrood where King James the 6th was crowned in 1567. We also visit the Roman Wall (Antonines) this has now been awarded world heritage status. (Entrance to visitor attractions is optional and is not included in the price) Find further details of Claymore Travel's Guided Day Tours of Stirling and Historic Scotland | |||
