BACK	The Bastion
	Thistle Centre, Murray Place
	Enter the Thistle Centre at the Port Street entrance. Look for the blazing torches over a heavy door next to WH Smith. Climb down the spiral staircase to see a surviving section of the 16th Century, town wall, displays of the Bastions history and Stirling's hangman. Under the floor there is a small, dungeon or 'thieves pot' where prisoners were confined.
