Learn to dance Salsa or Argentine Tango

Salsa and Tango are great fun, a fantastic way to keep fit, and a wonderful way to meet people!

The classes appeal to people of all ages and backgrounds and once you know a few steps, there are many places to go to socialise and practise.

If you don’t have a partner, don’t worry. You can partner up at the class. Lots of people come on their own. Alternatively try one of our latinocise/salsacise classes where you can dance on your own.

We run salsa/tango classes on most days of the week in Stirling, Dunblane, Clackmannanshire and throughout Central Scotland.

We run regular social events and practice sessions and have been involved in bringing some of the world’s top live bands and dancers to Scotland.

We have a passion for Salsa and Tango and have been teaching for over 10 years. Our experience and credentials as teachers and dancers are unequalled in the Central Scotland area.

Your first Salsa dance class?
We want to make your introduction to dancing as enjoyable as possible. Relax and come along to one of our beginners classes. We try our best to make the classes fun, easy and friendly as we gently ease you into the basics of salsa dancing.

Latinocise/Salsacise
Shape up, burn some calories and have fun at one of our Latinocise/Salsacise classes. Stirling Salsa run the ONLY GENUINE Salsacise classes in Central Scotland, where you can learn to dance the real thing as well as burning calories (learn a skill and get fit at the same time!)

Salsacise is a 45 minute dance class suitable for any level (including complete beginners). Unlike our other classes, in the salsacise class you do not dance with a partner. The aim of the class is 3-fold: to get some exercise, have fun, and learn to dance. As we dance almost solidly for 45 minutes it’s a great cardio workout, but the best thing is that it doesn’t feel like exercise. The music is uplifting and makes you feel good (even on a bad day), and Salsa is also great for toning the tummy, hips and thighs.

Did you know that 45 minutes of salsa (especially if you really put some energy into it) can burn 450 calories!

Salsacise or Salsa/Tango in the Workplace
If you and a group of workmates would like a salsacise workout or would like to learn how to dance salsa but cannot make any of our classes then it may be possible to organise classes at your workplace. You could then attend a class straight after work.

Learn Salsa/Tango with David and Denise
Denise has a passion for dance and the Spanish language. She has lived, worked and taught salsa in Peru, and has travelled extensively throughout Latin America, from Cuba right down to Argentina. She has been dancing salsa for 14 years and was one of Edinburgh’s legendary "Salsa Angels" who taught salsa in the capital in the late 1990s. She is responsible for bringing salsa to Stirling, with dance classes, regular club nights, workshops from world-renowned instructors, and even the odd live band.

Denise and David were organizers of the First International Tango Festival in Stirling in 2011 bringing some of the world’s best Tango dancers to the area to teach and perform. They have spent a lot of time in Buenos Aires updating their tango skills and in 2011 were awarded their certificate “Masters para Maestros de Tango” at the prestigious Escuela Argentina de Tango in Buenos Aires.
