The Peak at Stirling Sports Village | ||

The Peak, Stirling’s newest sports and leisure complex is now open. Stirling Sports Village at Forthside, is the biggest single development for sport and leisure in Stirling for over 30 years with an investment of £27.3 million funded by Stirling Council and sportscotland. The Peak is the brand new indoor complex at the heart of the Stirling Sports Village, which already boasts third generation (3G) outdoor football, rugby and hockey pitches.
Swimming pool Swimmers have the choice of enjoying 3 separate pools from a 25m pool with 6 lanes, an 80m2 teaching pool and a 100m2 confidence water pool. The latter is specially designed for babies and toddlers with shallow water, a slide and water spouts. Sports hall
It can accommodate the following sports: Ice rink The new ice pad measures 47m by 30m and houses 6 curling sheets. It can also be used for a number of other ice sports, including ice hockey, speed skating and ice dancing. Skate hire and skate sharpening facilities are available on site. Fitness and dance studio You’ll be spoilt for choice with over 90 classes on offer from Active Stirling from aerobics and body pump to pilates and yoga, suitable for all ages. Gym Get ready for the burn with this fully air-conditioned gym and the most up to date gym equipment from Techno Gym. The gym provides a wide range of cardiovascular and resistance equipment to meet the needs of everyone, whether it's your first visit or are a regular user. Climbing Wall The challenging 11 metre climbing wall is the largest indoor facility in the area. A chance for all ages and abilities to reach the dizzy heights of the Peak and test their climbing skills. Outdoor pitches

5 –a-side pitches: Synthetic Pitch Water Based Hockey Pitch Café and bar Spacious and bright, Zak’s Kitchen has a great selection of hot and cold food - to eat in or take away. Everything is fresh, sourced locally where possible and made on the premises. A wide variety of meals and snacks are available including healthy options. Upstairs Zak’s provides a relaxed atmosphere where you can chill out with a coffee or a drink, sit back and watch the curling or ice skating. There’s a full menu with a wide range of food from breakfast to bar snacks, and the main menu is available all day. The Sports Village is at Forthside Way, at the start of the new transport route along the River Forth, next to Forthbank, Stirling Albion’s football stadium and Springkerse Business Park. Tai Chi The art of health and longevity, a gentle approach to martial arts and fitness. While conventional workouts improve cardiovascular fitness, endurance and strength, Tai Chi works on the inner self improving health through proper breathing technique, ultra low impact movement, control and flexibility. People of all ages and virtually any level of fitness can safely practice Tai Chi. Tai Chi is also relaxing and good fun.
