This former forestry cottage is situated on the outskirts of Fintry, a quiet rural village in the Campsie Fells; it is an ideal base from which to discover the Western and Central Highlands.
The cottage is semi-detached and has 3 bedrooms, it can accommodate 6 people.
There's something for everyone nearby. Forest walks and cycle tracks are available from the doorstep and the Loup of Fintry Waterfalls are a 10 minute stroll down the road. Stirling is just 12 miles drive away through beautiful countryside. Loch Lomond and the Trossachs are each about half and hour away whilst Edinburgh and Glasgow can be reached in around an hour.
Accommodation
The cottage has been recently decorated and furnished to a high standard throughout. It offers ground floor accommodation featuring a fully fitted kitchen with dining area, a living room and a bathroom with bath and shower.
The bedroom accommodation comprises two double bedrooms and one twin bedded room.
All 3 bedrooms are a good size such that bedroom wise the cottage offers plentiful accommodation, the living room, single bathroom and dining kitchen though, are better suited to parties of 2 - 5.
Where are we?
We are just over 3 miles out of Fintry at the western end of the Carron Valley Reservoir, Stirling is 12 miles to the north east over a minor unfenced road crossing the Gargunnock Hills, Loch Lomond is half an hours drive to the west and the Queen Elizabeth Forrest Park and the Trossachs are about the same time away to the north west.
The Loup of Fintry waterfalls is 10 minutes walk down the road.
The Carron Valley Reservoir is 10 minutes walk up the road.

The cottage normally sleeps 2 - 5 people but pricing has been kept low to keep it attractive to just 2 people wishing to stay.
Rentals are for a full week commencing on a Saturday at 4pm and ending the following Saturday at 10am. The rental includes electricity, oil fired central heating and fuel for the open fire. Bed linen and towels are also included in the tariff.
Well behaved pets are welcome by arrangement at no extra charge.
Smoking is not permitted in the cottage.
