Our recently updated self-catering castle apartment has a warm cosy feel ensuring you have a comfortable stay all year round.
400 year old Menstrie Castle is steeped in history and was once owned by Sir William Alexander, the 1st Earl of Stirling in the early 1600s.

Accommodation

Our self-contained , self-catering castle accommodation is set across 2 floors. Comprising of a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and microwave, comfortable lounge,
dining room and bathroom.

With one double bedroom, one twin room and a sofa bed in the living area the apartment can sleep up to 6 people.
Television with DVD player in the lounge.

The castle accommodation enjoys views of the Ochil hills from most windows.
The current stair well is said to be the position of the staircase in the original castle and is set in a turret offering a curved feature to the interior.

Part of the ground floor in the castle is now a museum and shop run by the National Trust for Scotland.

Prices

Prices range from £275 to £500 per week depending on the time of year.

We also offer Short Break Deals out of season starting from £ 150.00

Weeks run from Saturday to Saturday. We ask that guests arrive between 4pm and 6pm and vacate the apartment before 10am on day of departure. We can of course accommodate guests outside these hours by prior arrangement

We ask for £100 deposit for bookings outside 8 weeks before the stay. The balance or full payment is due for bookings within 8 weeks of the stay.
We also ask for £100 security deposit for damages. This is just kept on file and usually ripped up after departure and inspection of the castle apartment. Any damages will be paid for in full.

Historic Menstrie Castle is set in the charming village of Menstrie, Clackmannanshire, near Stirling, Scotland. Nestling in the foothills of the stunning Ochils, Menstrie Castle is centrally located between Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, Dundee, and Loch Lomond. Therefore we can provide the perfect base for exploring Central Scotland.

The surrounding area is filled with many wonderful attractions including lochs, castles, mountain and glen. It is ideal for a family or for those who want to explore Scotland, fish, hill walk, play golf, or shop. So if you are looking for an ideally placed holiday location you will not be disappointed.

Directions

Take the Hillfoots Road and just after the Burnside inn take the next right which is signposted Menstrie Castle by the National Trust for Scotland.
Take the next left again signposted and the castle is in front of you.
