Fintry Cottages near Loch Lomond and the Trossachs

These two lovely cottages (The Mill and The Stable), each accommodating 4 in comfort, are set in the Fintry valley of Scotland with open views to the Fintry Hills to the North and the Campsie Fells to the south.

With Loch Lomond and the Trossachs on our doorstep and Glasgow, Stirling, Edinburgh and Perth all within 1 hour by car, this is an ideal centre for a holiday whether a short stay or for a longer period.

Description

fintry cottages near stirling and loch lomond and the trossachs Each cottage is contained in a farm building which has been carefully and lovingly restored using traditional materials.
The interior is very spacious, modern and extremely comfortable - ideal for relaxing after visiting some of the many nearby sights and attractions or just lazing about.

Each cottage has its own private furnished patio with innovative lighting making it a magical place at night. It faces East so catches the morning sunlight.
The cottages overlook a paddock of about 2 acres with a small stream and a ornamental pond. For those looking for high quality and something just a bit different, this is the perfect place.

Bed linen and all fuel costs are included in the rent. We operate a firm no smoking policy for the comfort of the majority of our guests. We also allow pets, but it is important that they should not be left alone in the cottage at any time.

While the outside is traditional, the interior makes use of modern materials and is both comfortable and attractive. The stonework was restored by a mason specialising in conservation work.

Our architect, AD Simpson said on completion, that it was the best finished project he had seen - ever!
Much of the building work was managed and carried out by local civil engineer Derek Hulme.

The downstairs interior was designed by local interior designers David and Kate Howell.
To further enhance the interior, sculptures and photographs by local artists are displayed (and are for sale).

The cottage is fully centrally heated by an oil combi boiler. The temperature is thermostatically controlled so residents can set the temperature they find comfortable.

Prices
From £205 to £475 per weeek

The price is for the cottage per week (not per person) and includes towels, bed linen and energy costs - there are no 'extras' . We do not do bookings of less than one week, although guests are of course free to stay for a shorter time.

To view up to date availability and to make a booking, please visit our website

fintry cottages near stirling and loch lomond and the trossachs Once you have made your provisional booking, you will receive an email asking you to make a 10% deposit and providing payment details. The balance is due 6 weeks before your booking period starts. You will receive an email reminder one week before the final payment is due.

Note that the Stable Cottage has a cot and high chair and a good supply of children's books, games etc - if you have children and want to use these items, then it is preferable to book this cottage if it is available.
