Quarter is the home of Robin and Pippa Maclean, who welcome you to stay at their beautiful Georgian country house bed and breakfast just 10 minutes from Stirling.
With 3 bedrooms available, Quarter offers a secluded peaceful location set in 60 acres of parkland gardens. Enjoy the tranquility of the gardens and stroll in your own time taking in the outstanding natural beauty of this wonderful part of Scotland.

The House
The house was built c1753 and is set in 60 acres of garden and parkland that has been planted with trees, shrubs and rhododendrons over the generations.
It was originally the home of Betty Harvie Anderson, the Conservative MP for East Renfrewshire between 1959 & 1979 and who was the first woman deputy speaker of parliament. Amongst her guests to Quarter during this time was the then up and coming future Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
On retirement Betty was given a life peerage and took the title Baroness Skrimshire of Quarter.
You can still walk through the gardens of Quarter which Baroness Thatcher did, taking in the wonderful views and peaceful location enjoyed by our guests today.
In the evening you can sit in the lovely comfortable sitting room relax, read or watch the television. In the winter there is a wonderful log fire that heats up the room.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the lovely Dining Room with its original plasterwork on the ceiling and wood panelling on the walls.
It will be served between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. If you would like it at any other time or if you have a special diet please ask Pippa.
Pippa makes a proper Scottish breakfast:Orange juice, Porridge, cereals, fruit salad.
Black pudding, tomatoes, bacon, mushrooms, fried bread and eggs from her own free-range hens.
Toast, homemade marmalade and jams with fresh coffee and tea.
At Quarter we have our own free range chickens which we've raised to provide organic eggs.

Additional Information
Situated as we are between the M80 and M9 motorways, we are in an ideal location for easy access to Glasgow, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park to the west, as well as Edinburgh and the Kingdom of Fife within half on hour to our south east. With Stirling, Perth and the Scottish Highlands to our imediate north. Quarter offers the ideal central location for touring Scotland.
Quarter is also next door to a riding stables, fisheries and a fitness gym, so there's also plenty things to see and do on our door step during your stay at Quarter bed and breakfast.
