Christine and Andrew welcome you to Bridgend Farm Country Bed & Breakfast. Our non working farm is set in the heart of the Earl of Dunmore's Country Estate near the small village of Airth.

Bridgend is also listed within the Scottish Tourist Board network and the farmhouse has recently been refurbished throughout to an exceptionally high standard.

Our home is beautifully furnished with two double bedrooms and a twin bedroom. All are centrally heated, have wash hand basin vanity units, TV/DVD and toweling bathrobes for added comfort. There is private off road secure parking next to the house and a large garden area and garden room where guests can relax with a good book or chat over a cup of tea.

Set in the picturesque countryside near Airth and surrounded by Airth Castle and Plean Castle, both of which are just two minutes drive from the farm, it is the perfect base for exploring Loch Lomond, The West Highland Way and The Trossachs. The larger cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling are all within a forty minute drive. Christine is happy to share her knowledge of the area with guests to ensure they make the most of their time in this beautiful region of Scotland.

Christine offers an extensive breakfast menu and is happy to cater for any dietary request if given notice. Breakfast is served when you arise in the garden room.

The Paterson's also have two other members of their family; two very friendly Jack Russels, Badger and Squirrel.

Accommodation

We have two double rooms and one twin room to choose from.
The Stirling Room is a Double Room with shared bathroom, the Falkirk Room is a Double Room with shared bathroom and the Bannockburn Room is a Twin Room with shared bathroom

All rooms are equipped with colour TV and DVD, radio, complimentary tray, central heating, hairdryer and electric blanket. Soft toweling bathrobes and complimentary bath and shower toiletries are provided for added luxury. Bathroom has a bath and shower facility.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served between 7-9am in the garden room and may include any of the following:

Full Scottish Breakfast - selection of cereals and fruit juice, followed by choice of egg, bacon, tomato, mushrooms, tattie scone and traditional sausage and black pudding plus choice of tea or coffee

Vegetarian Breakfast - available on request

Continental Breakfast - selection of cereals and fruit juice, fresh fruits, yoghurt, selection of meats & cheeses, toast with preserves plus choice of tea or coffee

Terms and Conditions

Arrivals

Guests are asked to arrive after 3.30pm. Between 3.30 and 5.30 a complimentary afternoon tea is served to welcome you. Check in is at 4pm or by arrangement. We are happy to look after your bags should you arrive before your room is ready. We ask that guests vacate their rooms by 10.30 am after breakfast on the day of departure.

Late Arrivals
We do not usually accept new guests after 9pm. If you are held up en route or expect to arrive late please phone to arrange access.

Cancellation
All bookings are subject to a 10% deposit. Confirmation will be given following receipt of deposit. Due to our location any cancellations made at less than 48 hours notice will be charged the remaining balance for the first nights accommodation.

Payment
We accept cash, cheque, visa and debit cards by way of payment.

No Smoking
Our home is a non-smoking establishment.

Set in the charming countryside near Airth, Bridgend Farm is the perfect base for exploring Loch Lomond, The West Highland Way and The Trossachs. This area provides some of most wonderful scenery in Scotland with much to see and do for everyone.

A visit to the nearby city of Stirling with its spectacular cliff top castle which now hosts its own Hogmanay Party is well worth the trip. The National Wallace Monument is packed with fascinating exhibits and displays and is arguably one of Scotland's most magnificent sights. It is also a great opportunity to meet Scotland's national hero - William Wallace. The Historical town of Falkirk is a 5 minute drive away. Visit the Falkirk Wheel, the world's only rotating boat lift which services the Forth & Clyde and Union canals.

Golfing enthusiasts are well catered for as our home is ideally located for golf at Gleneagles, Loch Lomond and St Andrews. Also the British Super bike and touring car rounds at Knockhill race circuit.

If you enjoy walking or cycling, the countryside that surrounds us is perfect. You can easily walk or cycle to one of Scotland's most bizarre buildings, a National Trust treasure, The Pineapple. There are many spectacular hills to climb and cycle tracks leading to the surrounding glens. Farm land on the Earl's Estate is full of wildlife and we are also able to offer mountain bike hire for those who are feeling more energetic.

A 5 minute drive will take you to the main motorways which service the north and south where Edinburgh and Glasgow can be reached within a forty minute drive.

Scottish Police College in Tulliallan is an 8 min drive away.
